My Project

"Wonder" by R.J. Palacio is a heartwarming and enlightening novel that follows the journey of August Pullman, a young boy with facial differences, as he navigates the challenges of starting fifth grade in a mainstream school.

"Wonder" is a powerful literary work that offers valuable lessons on empathy, acceptance, and self-discovery.

By incorporating this novel into sixth-grade curriculum, our students can create opportunities for meaningful discussions on important social and emotional topics, while fostering critical thinking skills and promoting a culture of kindness and inclusivity among students. In the journey of August Pullman, sixth graders can find inspiration to embrace their own uniqueness and make a positive difference in the world around them.
