My Students

We are a group of students that love to learn about the science, social studies and math all around us. We love to look around for how to make science and history come alive around us. We are looking for some real-world problems to investigate and making history come alive

We are a group of 44, 5th graders that are excited to learn and share our knowledge with others.

We are constantly working on better understanding the world around us, and learning about science through hands-on learning. We are always looking for better ways to incorporate math, social studies and STEM into our day!

My Project

It is hard to find a book the captures all of the students’ interests, but “Wonder” is that book for 5th grade. I would like to provide a copy for each child to use while we implement literature circles in the classroom.

“Wonder” has the ability to teach students empathy, respect and care for other individuals.

We will be using the lessons in this book to apply to our daily and school life. We will be learning how to read deeper and look for meaning behind actions and themes in the text. Through the connection students develop with the characters, we will also increase the stamina and love of reading.
