Wobbly Students Need Wobble Chairs

My Students

My students are special in so many ways. They arrive almost every morning excited to tell me something about their night or a new loose tooth or that they can tie their shoes now!

Our district is in a community that has a high level of free and reduced-price lunch families but we also have families that are financially stable.

The beauty of first graders, though, is that they don't see these differences. They are all friends with each other and just see each other as another 6- or 7-year-old with pets and families and scraped knees.

My Project

Many of our students have attention deficit needs. They have a difficult time focusing often times due to their active nature. Six- and seven-year-old children need to be able to move to help them stay focused.

Wobble chairs will help these particular students be able to move their bodies without leaving their seat.

When a student has attention deficits due to Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, they miss out on important lessons and feedback. Wobble seats will allow them to focus on what's important to continue to improve their knowledge.
