My fourth-grade students are creative, innovative, smart, and enthusiastic learners. They are excited about what we have to learn this year and enjoy exploring and experimenting through different learning experiences. Our school has high expectations and the students in my class are ready and eager to meet those expectations.
In the public schools, we accept, love, and teach students from all walks of life.
My students range from children with emotional and physical disabilities to students who excel in academics and need accommodations to help them stay challenged. I teach because I believe that all students can learn and progress each day, and I love helping each one to reach their true potential.
My Project
Have you ever found yourself antsy during a long seminar or meeting? This is a typical feeling for many 4th grade students as they do their best to engage in learning throughout the day. My students come to school energetic and eager to learn, but it's sometimes difficult to maintain attention throughout the day with limited recesses and movement. These sensory stools give kids a chance to wiggle and move, which helps them to stay focused.
I consistently implement brain breaks, interactive learning, and movement into my classroom to help keep my students' focus and attention alive, but they still need more!
Students who have attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity issues especially struggle to stay focused throughout the day. The sensory stools that I'm requesting would help all of my students, especially those with attention concerns, to maintain stamina and focus throughout the day. Better focus leads to better learning and outcomes!
