Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class consists of special education and general education students. We are in need of flexible seating so that the children can spread out around the classroom. The floor chairs and wobble chairs will help accommodate their diverse learning styles.
Every child deserves their very own calm space where they can stay focused and get their work done.
I am hoping this will promote student engagement and that the students will be happier and less distracted. My students don’t have a lot of space at their desks or on the carpet and are constantly bickering and getting in each other’s way while trying to get work done. I also have many students with sensory issues that have a difficult time sitting on the carpet or at their desks for lessons.
