My students come from a variety of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Some are bilingual, speaking one language with their families at home and another at school. Some work at home on their family farms after working all day at school. Some have moved schools so many times that they have lost confidence in their academic capabilities.
The one thing that all of my students have in common is a desire to learn in a classroom that feels like home.
In math, they want to learn the why behind each concept, not just a set of steps to get an answer. In reading, they devour books and love to share their reading experiences with classmates. They are sweet, kind, bright, and deserve the very best that I can offer them each day.
In my class students choose where they work best. Whether that's on the carpet, at a surf seat, in a bean bag, or at their desk. Like many ten year olds, my kids love to lean back in their chairs when they're at their desks. The problem is that when students lean in a traditional school chair they often lean too far and their chair flies out from under them!
I want my students to have the freedom to wiggle as needed in their seats, but I want them to be safe too!
Enter- Kore Wobble Stools. These stools have a slightly rounded base that allows students to wiggle around in their seats, and a ledge that stops the stool when students wiggle too far. This means kids can wiggle without worrying about falling and they can focus better on their work.
These stools are germ resistant and compact so that they don't take up too much of our classroom space. Just 6 stools will help create even more space in our room for students to comfortably work, as more students will want to work at their desks during independent work time. I want my kids to learn how they work best and Wobble Stools will give them even more options than we already have.
