My students are amazing. Every day they come to school ready to learn. They find excitement learning with their class friends regardless of the topic. My students make work the best part of the day. I want all my students to have access to materials that they need to be successful. I want to give my students all the accommodations that they need to be contributors. With these added supplies, my students can build a knowledge base so they can participate in class and contribute to projects. I'm looking to them to be productive members in the world. We all have limitations and we can overcome them to be amazing!
My Project
The traditional classroom is not the best environment for some learners. Those who struggle with ADHD and other hyper active behaviors, need an outlet for their energy before their brain can focus.
By providing flexible seating options, those kids who have difficulty controlling their bodies will have an appropriate outlet for their energy.
I've seen success in other classrooms by allowing students freedom to move and work in a way that is helpful to them. These wobble chairs will be very beneficial to my class of little learners. They will be able to use them at their desks for seat work, or at my table for interventions. They can read and wobble and work!
