it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have some truly amazing students who deserve a classroom environment where their needs are being met. Many students need to wiggle! Wobble chairs can be used as a replacement for typical classroom chairs and give students choice in flexible seating. This allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean, or stand, increasing blood flow, core strength, and flow of oxygen to the brain.
Wobble chairs allow for students to regulate their wiggles, better focus, and enhance their learning experience in a fun and healthy way!
Kids are energetic, excited, and wiggly! Without any outlet, wiggles can have a negative impact on the ability to focus. I want to play to my students’ strengths. Their energy can be such a positive asset to their learning! These chairs will help my students place that energy where it can be utilized best. I have seen how much flexible seating positively impacts student work. I have watched wiggly students who were unable to focus, leap into class participation and eagerly share their ideas due to something as simple as a wobble chair. I know this project will only set my students up for success!
