Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is made up of energetic and dedicated students with special needs. My students are a group of innovative and imaginative kids with a love of learning. This is my first time starting the school year at Frank Del Olmo and I am wanting to provide as many tools to help the kids access the curriculum as possible. In order for me to teach to every child's unique needs I divide my students into small groups where I provide instruction to match their learning styles.
My Project
These tools will make a huge difference in helping my students maintain focus during our reading lessons. During our daily routine I divide my students into leveled groups. As I work with one group, other students work on their own. Many of them get the jitters. I am asking for wobble stools in hope that they will be able to jitter and wobble and focus better on their tasks. The headphones will allow the students to work on some fantastic computer reading programs. The students will be able to hear the software read to directly to them at their reading level to further develop their understanding of language.
