This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I've had the amazing opportunity to welcome a kind, diverse group of scholars to my classroom - and for many of them, this is their first experience with the school environment at all.
My school serves some of the highest need students in our area, and I want to set a foundation for academic success.
My students bring a variety of languages, cultures, and backgrounds to our classroom, and many of them are still learning how to be ready to learn at school. However, each and every child has such a great potential to learn and we have high academic expectations for our 1st grade scholars!
My Project
These wobble stools will help my Kindergarten students during small groups and independent reading to be able to keep moving while working! These stools will be available to students throughout the day when they feel like they need some movement.
Our day is very full of academics and Kindergartners need time to move around within the classroom.
I love to give our students options for seating, as I do not want them to have to sit in hard chairs all day. Please help us to keep our bodies wiggling while we learn this year!
