This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We have a lot of the students who come from high poverty homes. We would love to see the students engaged in their learning and get the most out of their education. We integrate our units/lessons with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
These students are learning the 1st grade curriculum, and they are also learning skills to help them in their every day life.
These students are eager to learn and just need a couple necessary items to help this.
My Project
My students need wobble chairs to help them focus on their learning. Coming from a high poverty area, the students are sometimes more focused on what is going on at home, rather then their education at school. This will help keep them engaged and eager to learn more.
Since these students have other things to worry about, giving them a flexible seating arrangement gives them a choice in what will help them learn best.
Students need to be given a choice in what will help them learn best, and since my students know what is best for them, some of them need a wobble chair.
