My students need multiple flexible seating options such as wobble stools to allow for movement while learning. These wobble stools will allow my students to have multiple options in our classroom.

My Students
I currently teach 2nd grade at an urban school where 75% of our students school wide receive free or reduced lunch. Our students are also provided with free breakfast daily.
I have 22 students in my 2nd grade class who are constantly on the move.
Numerous times a day, I find myself reminding my little friends to have a seat. It is my goal to provide each one of my students some sort of flexible seating. This will allow my students to still be able to claim their own space and desk, which is very important to them, but also have the benefits of flexible seating.
My Project
My students are constantly moving, standing, and wiggling. The materials I am requesting will provide us with enough flexible seating options for every student in our classroom. While many flexible seating classrooms have work stations, my students take pride in having their own space.
By donating to our project, you will allow each of my students to have some sort of flexible seating while still being able to claim their own space in the classroom.
Research shows that flexible seating increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. It burns more calories and increases blood flow which keeps them more alert and focused. With this, comes more success, which is what all teachers want for their students. The wobble stools in this project will allow my students to access all of the benefits of movement while still being engaged in their classwork.
