My Students

Our first grade class is full of unique, caring, creative and active first graders. We enjoy reading and writing and especially love math and science. Our class loves to investigate and have fun learning together. We collaborate as problem solvers and work as a team to show our Jaguar P.R.I.D.E. every day. As a class, our goal is to show respect ourselves and others and to be responsible in every way. We are an amazing first grade community of learners!

My Project

These flexible seating options will be an essential addition to our classroom. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and are most comfortable. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed. I envision my students being able to use the wobble stools and stability balls to move in a safe a comfortable way while learning. Students in our classroom have the option to move to areas that make it easier to work and learn. Having wobble stools and stability balls will offer an engaging seating option.

Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength.

It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
