My students need wobble stools to provide opportunities for movement while staying focused on their learning.

My Students

I teach in a school for gifted students in a large urban district. My students are inquisitive, intelligent, kind, excited learners. They are gifted in many different areas and have specialized academic needs.

Within my classroom, students have a wide range of learning styles which require opportunities for alternative seating to meet individualized academic plans.

In my project based classroom, students work in a variety of settings to complete assigned tasks. They are able to take the initiative in planning and implementing projects that increase their awareness of the world around them. The opportunities my students receive in my classroom help them to become responsible citizens.

My Project

My students need wobble stools to help increase their time on task. By allowing them to move their lower bodies while continuing to work on their projects, student productivity on assignments will increase and off task behaviors will decrease. Many of my students become frustrated when they have no outlet for their physical energy.

The use of wobble stools will combat frustration and provide opportunities for movement to take place while learning continues.

I believe that these stools will be useful learning tools for many of my students each day. Providing flexible seating will help my students to control their learning environment.
