The third graders I teach are passionate, eager to explore, tech-savvy, and very active! Over half of my students are considered low-income, but they all have big dreams and goals for their futures. Reading helps children imagine and open their minds to the possibilities of tomorrow. Students that struggle need extra support to ensure they are successful in the classroom. When you support our classroom, you are helping all children reach their full potential as they grow in the classroom!
My Project
Wobble stools are vital to helping my students stay focused during our reading classes! Many of my students struggle with a diagnosis of ADHD or other learning differences that make it harder to focus. Having an opportunity for movement within the classroom makes a huge difference for these students.
I have seen that when all students have an appropriate outlet for their energy, they are much more likely to pay attention and participate in our lessons.
Students are naturally more focused on their reading when they are free to move in a comfortable way. My goal as a teacher is to make sure every student has the tools necessary to be succesful. By donating to our project, you can help my students increase their attention, while ultimately ensuring their academic success!
