My Students

Each morning, my students come into class with smiles on their faces! They do a fabulous job at the routines and rituals they practice. Throughout second grade, we explore a variety of different topics and begin diving into chapter books! I try and get my second graders excited for the journey of where books may take them and want to get them excited about reading! We have a high population of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch at our school, but that doesn't stop them from having the desire to learn and grow!

My Project

These materials will help my students in a variety of ways. This year I have a great group of students who enjoy learning. My students are moving around all of the time, between sitting at the carpet, in small collaborative groups at their desks, and with me at the teacher table. These stools would allow us to move while we learn. Students need to be comfortable while learning in order to do their bests.

These stools would be especially great for my wiggle worms!

I have several students who have a hard time sitting still for longer than a few minutes and these stools would allow them to be more active during the day, while not being distracting to other students.
