Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of the students in our Resource Room have diagnoses of ADHD, autism, or require gross motor support for low tone. This means that standard plastic chairs are often the last place our students want to be! Research supports that when students are struggling to get comfortable and can't keep still they're less able to focus and are more likely to get up out of their seat and get distracted. An easy solution is providing flexible seating options where students who learn best by moving are empowered to do so in a safe way.
