This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The environment in my resource classroom has completely transformed this year after receiving our first shipment of wobble stools, bean bags, and yoga ball chairs! My students absolutely love having the autonomy to choose their own seating tools. It has been amazing watching my students learn to advocate for their needs and become more independent using the alternative seating options. Proving alternative seating has become one of the best resources for my students with special needs! Many of my students with ADHD choose to use the wobble stools on a daily basis. During exam season the wobble stools are in high demand! My only problem is that I currently only have two wobble stools but tons of students who want to use them!
Please help me support my students with special needs by providing them with two new wobble stools to help them feel comfortable and remain focused while learning!
Flexible seating provides students the option of choosing a seat that will help them stay alert during class. Wobble stools allow students to wobble, rock, and bounce quietly in their seats. This motion improves core strength, helps students focus, and increases oxygen flow, as well as blood flow to the brain. Plus, they are easy to move and take up very little space! Traditional desks are simply not the right fit for each student. Alternative seating has already proven to be a fantastic resource for my students, please help me provide more awesome wobble stools for these deserving kids!
