This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While most students can stay seated all day, not all children can, especially when chairs are hard, uncomfortable, and sometimes broken.

Students are trapped; they can't stretch, twist, readjust, or fidget. This is even more true for my students with special needs.

I want to give my students what they need so that their disabilities don't hold them back. Our class will use these stools daily in cooperative learning groups. Students will have the freedom to move while in their seats without disrupting learning or getting in trouble. We need ergonomic stools (wobble chairs) to improve the learning environment in our classroom. Active students will become active learners in a positive setting. Students need to be able to work together and accomplish daily learning objectives and goals.

Having these stools in the classroom will promote tolerance and acceptance of others and their different learning needs. As their character develops, their ability to work with others will lead to independent and cooperative learning success. Building character will lead to success in life. We don't want students with high energy to be labeled or punished for something clearly out of their control. Your donation will change their lives forever.
