My first grade class is full of high energy, eager learners. The class consists of 17 wonderful six and seven-year-old children who love to come to school every day to learn and socialize.
My class loves to tell stories, work in groups, and work with hands-on centers.
Our school is located in a small farm community. Having such a small community makes it very unique and special. Our Pre-K through 8th grade school houses under 300 students. Everyone knows each other, thus we have a very friendly, supportive student body and staff.
My Project
Standard classroom chairs are hard and ridged, which is why I chose these wobble stools. Not only will the stools be comfortable and allow movement, they will also create the enthusiasm needed for learning. Everyone will want to sit in the cool, comfy stools!
Gone are the days of children sitting in straight rows of desks for hours at school.
Today, educators know that flexible seating and choices are best practices. By purchasing the NeoRok stools and a child's size table that is low to the floor, my students will have other options of where to work and be creative. Not all students work best sitting at a desk.
