This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember being a second grader full of energy and enthusiasm? That's what my second graders have. They are ready to learn and set to become the future of our country. They come to school with determination to become better readers and writers.

My amazing students are students that come from low-income backgrounds.

Almost all of them come from apartment communities where outside space and playgrounds are not available. Every day they are enthusiastic, full of energy and eager to learn. They come with great determination and will.

My Project

Being a second grader is not easy to stay sitting for a long period of learning time. With the ability to choose their seats and a place they would like to learn, my students will be able to focus while in a comfortable spot. There is days when we have rainy day that they are not able to have physical activity. There is times that students might get distracted or simply feel tired of sitting for long periods of time. By having wobble chairs my students will be able to move while focusing.

Sometimes being seated on the same chair for long hours is hard for adults and even more for second graders.
