Help me give my students wobble chairs for our classroom. Research has shown that seating options that allow for movement can INCREASE attention! This would be so beneficial for my students since many of them struggle with attention.
My students are creative, kind, thoughtful, and energetic! They all come to my math classroom with Individual Educational Plans and special education eligibilities such as Learning Disabilities, Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and more. Even with these challenges, they are active participants in their learning and enjoy collaborating with one another on hands-on games/activities! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
Many students in my classroom struggle with holding their attention.
Each of them have a unique learning style and I try my best to modify my teaching to best fit each of their needs.
My Project
Can you imagine having to sit still in a chair all day while having learning challenges that further impact your ability to attend and achieve? This is how many of my students feel! I do my best to provide them with opportunities to move and multi-sensory learning experiences.

Being able to move (or wobble) while learning will allow them to have more success in school.
Because I service grades 1-5 math special education students at my school, I have requested 3 16-inch wobble stools and 3 14-inch wobble schools. This way all 5 of my classes can benefit from this project.
