This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I teach are so impressionable as this is most of their first time attending school. I want their first experience to be comfortable to ease the transition from home to school. I want them to have a love for learning that is organic not just something they think they have to do. Many of the students in this particular city will not graduate from high school but maybe if we instill a sense of comfort, fun and warmth from the beginning we could change this statistic.

My Project

Having wobble chairs during small group guided reading will help sustain children's attention during the most important half hour of the day.

Increasing students reading level in Kindergarten will put them on track to success and continued reading growth during elementary school.

Fostering a love for reading is something I want to instill in my students for life! My classroom is an inclusive classroom and students have varying needs. Having wobble chairs will make such a difference in keeping their minds focused while their body moves. Please consider donating to my project that will mean so much to me and my students!!!
