it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are amazing human beings who are filled with tons of energy, joy, and curiosity!
As much as they learn from me and each other, I am the one who learns the most from them every day. Each and every day I am proud of my students' work and overall attitude despite what may be going on in their home lives. Many of my students have experienced a variety of situations that as adults we have never been in or heard of. My school is located in a very small rural community in California, and the majority of our student population are below the poverty line. In fact, 100% of our students participate in the federal free or reduced-price lunch program.
Yet, even with these challenges, my students continue to come to school with smiling faces ready to learn despite how difficult their home lives may be. These students deserve an education that is engaging, exciting, and filled with unconditional love. With your help, we can continue to make the small things become the big things in their lives.
My Project
Next school year my goal is to bring more flexible seating options into my second grade classroom. By bringing these wobble chairs into my classroom it will give my students the opportunity to choose where they learn best around our classroom and take ownership of their learning space. These wobble chairs will help them take care of their physical needs while learning with their peers.
With your support these wobble chairs will increase their motivation, improve their attention and overall engagement.
