My students need wobble chairs in order to have flexible choices in their seating. Wobble chairs help students engage their core while sitting, making it easier to pay attention and learn effectively!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello! I have been hired to teach first grade at K-R in Prosser! I’m super excited about being closer to home and teaching in my community. Setting up a brand new classroom comes with a lot of expenses, so I’m looking for some support with making my classroom warm and inviting!
Flexible seating in the form of stationary yoga balls, wiggle stools, and bean bag chairs will allow my students to get the sensory input they need in order to learn to their fullest potential.
I want to be able to provide these students with a warm, inviting, and colorful classroom to set them up for success at the start of their educational journey!
My Project
Wobble chairs are a form of flexible seating that allows students to get their wiggles out while still staying in their seat. This gives important sensory feedback to students who need it, which helps them to concentrate on their lesson. I allow the students to use these chairs during small group lessons, Independent Reading & Writing, and partner work.
Wobble chairs allow the students to engage their core muscles to keep them stable, allowing them to focus better and keep their attention on the lesson.
These chairs are the one of several types of flexible seating I'd like to be able to offer to my students to increase focus and student engagement.
