Wobble Chairs for Focus and Engaging Graphic novels

My Project

We teach in a large, diverse Title I Junior High School. Our building has 1,500 students, and I teach 120 of them reading, writing, special ed, and ENL (English as a New Language). Our students absolutely love when we give them flexible seating (such as doing their work on a video game chair with a clipboard), so these wobble chairs and floor mats will liven up student engagement.

Any preteen, especially our special ed students, need to move their body while they learn, so these wobble chairs and floor mats will help them to focus while reading and writing.

While in these flexible seats, the class set of clipboards is especially handy. It's hard for 11-12 year olds to sit still at a desk 7 hours a day, so these materials really help us keep their attention and excitement as we read amazing texts, write paragraphs, and craft essays. Students often do better work when they aren't confined to a traditional desk and chair all day.

We keep a large and engaging classroom library, and the Diary of a Wimpy Kids books fly off the shelves daily. They are at a high lexile, and they are high interest for our general education students, special ed, and English as a New Language kids too.
