My students need 6 Flex-Space Wobble Chairs. They are a very active and squirmy group of kids. I currently have 2 Wobble Chairs, which they love!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is in Bridgeport, Connecticut. We are in a high poverty level. All students receive free breakfast and lunch, many attend free after school program too. Many of the students and families speak another language at home.
We are currently on a hiring freeze, and there wasn't a certified teacher for a very active and rambunctious group of second grades.
I have been the physical education teacher at this school for the last 14 years. I decided to leave the gym and give them a stable and consistent education. Since January 2, 2018 I have taken over this class and have been spending a lot of time, energy, and money to give them a great experience! I feel like a first year teacher again!
My Project
I have a very active group of second graders. We are using all of the strategies that we can to help them stay in their areas and complete their work. For many of them, I know they are unable to control it.
For many of them, sitting in their chair is a struggle.
I recently received 2 Wobble chairs from a previous project. The kids love them and they can't wait until it is there turn. We are currently on an 11 day rotation. When we receive these new Wobble chairs, we will be on a 3 day rotation of chair sharing!
