Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are sweet, loving, and funny little humans that brighten up each other’s day! After being out of school for so long many of them are truly eager to be back in the classroom. They are students with special needs from the South Bronx. Although they have had many challenges and setbacks, they also have many strengths and skills that have helped them persevere!

My Project

My special needs 3rd and 4th grade self-contained students vary in learning styles and needs.

There are several tools that I feel will help them have a successful school year.

Some need a wobbly seat to help them focus. Others are having difficulty hearing me, especially with a mask on. This is where the voice amplifier. comes in handy. The door chime will help them with transitions and rotations to keep them on track. And the seat sacks will keep them organized while keeping their individual items at their reach when needed!

All of these items will each student to focus and attend to daily classroom task.
