Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These items will help unlock my students' true creative potential. In my first year, I watched my students go from uninspired to truly creating magical works of art! They opened parts of their mind they hadn't used before with materials like paint, markers, and more! These kids have had a different art teacher for the past three years, and I'm happy to say that I am their first returning art teacher in a long time! I want to be there for them and open a safe, creative space with these materials, such as these paint sets and markers; every bit counts!
I intend on using these basic art supplies to open doors for many projects, from mixed media paintings to 3-D pinch pots and even an art contest!
I love seeing my students explore and experiment using watercolors, especially! They go through them like crazy because it is one of their favorite media. This year is going to be great, and with your help, it will be even better! Thank you!
