Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I teach at our school. are incredible. They show a willingness to learn and to support each other in every way. Building a classroom community is always important. When the students feel involved in their learning process, they want to do more and achieve more. In our classroom each student applies for a leadership position needed in the class. Once all applications are received, they begin their leadership position. Students take these classroom leadership positions seriously and strive to do their best. They learn how to work together and how teamwork is essential to working and learning together.
Students in the classroom learn and work together in many ways.
As a community we learn about our differences and how our differences can help us achieve more. Each student is treated as an individual with a uniqueness that adds to the sum of the classroom community as a whole. We learn, play, encourage, and set goals together. This is the key to our success!
My Project
Students in today's world are learning so many new skills that require technology. It is sometimes difficult for schools to keep up with the ever-changing pace in our technology based world.
Our school strives to keep students in step with technology as much as possible, though funding for this area can be limited.
Students in our class will be receiving Chromebooks to use in the classroom on a daily basis. However, the funding did not allow for students to have computer mice to utilize.
Through the generous donations of Donors Choose, it may be possible for our students to get the mice they need. Having these mice will aide in their learning and make it easier to navigate their way on the Chromebooks. With the assistance of computer mice, students will be able to produce and express their learning in so many ways!
