Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Four year old children sometimes struggle holding a pencil, marker or conventional writing tool. They need to be given an opportunity to develop their fine motor skills. Painting with brushes on a large surface offers a good transition for them to refine their gross motor and fine motor skills. They need opportunities to draw images such as a large happy face or a sun before they can transfer that skill onto an 8 1/2x11 piece of paper using a crayon.
My students can benefit from using these easels to paint drawings and letters in a fun and engaging way.
We can use the easels both inside and outside the classroom. The easels allow two students to work at a time. The students can practice with paint, chalk, and whiteboard. In addition, children will be able to create while having fun and display their work.
