Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Using clay allows students the opportunity to express themselves with a fairly durable art medium. Students, especially those with autism, will enjoy the tactile qualities of clay.
My Transition classroom is composed of students aged 18-22 years of age with special needs.
Clay allows students to experiment with the medium, change their ideas, add to or subtract from their project or simply enjoy the feel of clay in their hands. Sculpting clay with tools will let students add detail and texture to their projects.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
