All of my students have something that they are good at. I have a very diverse group of students ranging from 6th-8th grades. Each one has their own idea of creativity and ideas. I love when my students show their individuality when creating their own business cards and brochures about themselves to present to their parents. They take such pride in it because of the ability to showcase their own individuality.
Each one of my students is unique and they like to express their personalities whenever they can.
They are all precious and feel empowered when they can take pride in something that they do personally that turns out well.
My Project
In our CTE Office Productivity class, students learn about publications such as business cards, flyers, brochures, letterhead, stationery and newsletters. The students learn design principles about how to best create these publications.
Having a paper cutter and cardstock paper would enable the students to actually see how the end product of a business card or brochure will look once it is printed out.
The students will be able to print out a business card of their own as well as making business cards for teachers at the school. Students will make brochures about themselves (using design principles) and give it as a gift to their parents/guardians.
