Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every year one of my goals is to have my students improve their ability to become independent and think on their own. Having my students become independent thinkers will help them navigate the real world beyond high school. This is what I aspire for!

My students are all unique individuals that keep me on my toes every single day.

I am a Special Education teacher so my students all have a disability. Nevertheless, I am extremely proud of them because they don't let any deficit get in their way of trying to succeed and graduate high school.

My Project

Teaching in an urban setting where most of my students qualify for free lunch, they don't have the resources to access technology outside of school for things we take for granted. Having a reliable computer with a printer in the classroom, they will have the ability to practice their computer skills, write and print a resume, look for jobs, and print their essays. I believe this could help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

My students need all the resources they can get in order to be successful in and out of school.

Having the computer technology in their classroom will give them an opportunity to complete simple tasks that go a long way. It will also create a classroom environment where students feel they can come and be productive. I believe this will enrich the lives of my students in a significant way.
