This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of 15 unique students. Each of them has talents and capabilities. They strive for excellence .

The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, and do accountable talk with their partners..

My students learn how to read, write and speak everyday.

My students are lovely and very eager to learn and explore new things in class.

They are very interested in using manipulative , and computer base activities.

My Students are very good in following directions outside and inside the classroom.

My Project

The listening center will instill the love of reading and reading skills in my students. I need a listening center because listening devices help children see how the words on the page can come alive in a fluid, expressive way. My students will be able to build upon their sight vocabulary, improve their listening skills and be exposed to a variety of story structures.

The donations will help improve my classroom by allowing my students to listen to stories on CD.

Listening to audio books teaches critical listening skills, to my ESL student and many non readers. They will be able to learn new vocabulary words and listen to good interpretive reading.
