I currently teach 4th grade in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom which is made up of a variety of learners with various abilities. My students are performing at a wide range of academic levels, so it is necessary to use various programs that spark their love for learning reading and mathematics.
As an educator, I try my best to meet the individual learning styles of each and every one of my students regardless of the challenges they face!
This practice ensures that every student is successful! I strive to help each student reach their potential every single day!
In addition to our packed academic schedule, we have developed a classroom with a true sense of community. We hold daily meeting that allow us to "check-in" with each other. Each and every student is a key player in building a loving an caring community! All students are able to share freely without judgment and the students help each other resolve personal issues!
My Project
In my Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom there are many opportunities during the day for small group instruction and collaborative exploration! We usually sit on the floor, however, it makes it difficult to function together as a group.
Using a kidney table will give me the opportunity to guide all students while they are working and learning together!
It will also give students the opportunity to work collaboratively in groups and engage with each other in a more meaningful way. The use of kidney tables in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom enhances learning and allows students to succeed on a daily basis. Our children will benefit tremendously from this donation!
