This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with young children(5-6 years old) they are always so excited to learn and always have so many questions about the world around them. A lot of their learning is play based. A classroom rug would be so helpful in their growth and development this year. We use the rug as a chance to gather as a team several times throughout the day. We meet on the rug during morning meeting to greet one another. We meet at the end of the day on the rug to reflect about our day. We even meet on the rug to learn academics as well has talk about our big feelings as a class and how we can be better friends to one another. My students have very big hearts and very sharp minds. They enjoy learning and being at school! Having a classroom rug would help create a warm and joyful learning environment to my kiddos this year.
