My Project
Engaging students in literature is crucial for developing literacy skills and fostering a lifelong love for reading. I am aiming to enhance the learning experience for my 4th-grade class using the new curriculum from Wit and Wisdom, I am seeking funding to incorporate hands-on, interactive activities Modules 1 and 2. This project aims to bring the story to life by providing students with tangible experiences that deepen their understanding and engagement with the text. By integrating heart knowledge and survival simulations, and creative projects, we aspire to transform our classroom into an immersive learning environment that mirrors the adventures and challenges. The heart models will help build vocabulary and hands on experiences as well as the stethoscope will be build knowledge. The compasses will help them relate to the book Hatchet. The costumes will help us in Module 3, "The Redcoats are Coming." Thank you for considering donating to my project to my class of multilingual learners.
