I have tried to help my students have the most current technology in our science classroom. This helps them to be more engaged in the classroom and learn important skills.
Middle school students are excited about the digital world that is at their fingertips.
Sometimes a little too excited. They feel "naked" without their phones and various other technology. They live in a digital world and that world is one they need to be prepared for. Since we have a 1 on 1 classroom this year, I hope that I can have the equipment to help them be responsible in using the digital tools available to them.
My Project
My students are amazing! They have loved working on computers to complete assignments. They have not only had access to digital assignments, but they have been able to upload pictures and videos, search the internet for data and information, create online assignments, collaborate with fellow students and access other resources on my class website.
My student have been struggling using the mouse pads on the keyboard of their Chrome books.
That is why I am creating a project and asking for help to purchase 18 wireless mouses for half of the students in my science classroom. These mice will help the students navigate easier on the chrome book and be able to spend more time focusing on the assignments and less on controlling the mouse pad.
