My Project
My students are creative, hands-on learners who thrive when they can connect art with real-world agricultural concepts. Through this DonorsChoose project, I hope to provide them with wire sculpting materials and pliers so they can explore the beauty of agriculture through art. These materials will allow students to design and construct wire sculptures of crops, livestock, and farm equipment, deepening their understanding of agriculture while developing fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and artistic expression.
The goal of this project is to blend science, agriculture, and art, showing students that agriculture is not just about farming but also about creativity and innovation.
By shaping wire into meaningful agricultural symbols, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the industry and its impact on their lives.
My students are hardworking, inquisitive, and passionate about hands-on learning. Many come from backgrounds where agriculture plays a significant role, whether through family traditions or local industry. Providing them with a creative outlet to express their connection to agriculture will empower them to see the industry in a new light and take pride in their artistic and agricultural roots.
