My Project
Have you ever seen a student get stuck because they’re afraid of getting something “wrong” on paper? I have more times than I can count. That’s why I want to introduce more dry-erase-based activities into our group learning time.
This project will provide:
-Classroom sets of individual dry erase boards so students can easily share ideas during group work and partner tasks.
-Dry erase markers in multiple colors to allow for creativity and visibility during brainstorming sessions.
-Dry erase board cleaner so students can quickly reset and restart without wasting time or materials.
Whether we’re practicing vocabulary, grammar, brainstorming for an essay, or mapping out a group project, these boards will give my students a reusable, mistake-friendly tool for sharing and refining their thinking. Bonus? It makes group work feel more like a game than a chore.
Here’s how these materials will be used:
-Think-Pair-Share Responses: Students jot down individual ideas and then compare and combine them with a partner.
-Group Brainstorming: Teams work together to write, revise, and visually organize their thoughts before sharing with the class.
-Peer Review Stations: Students use boards to give each other feedback in real time.
-Quick Writes and Concept Mapping: Visual learners can draw out ideas, flowcharts, or mind maps during discussions.
By using dry-erase boards, my students will have the opportunity to collaborate, revise, and reflect without the pressure of permanent marks. Mistakes are part of the process, and dry erase makes that visible in the best way.
