My Students
The population range of our students is from poor to middle class within the school and the school district. The school is located in the southwest area of Atlanta where community and culture is important. The students are very tech savvy and are very open-minded in learning foreign music. Students who have been placed in some of the music classes offered at the school have expressed their interest in music technology. The students seek lessons that are more engaging through technology based music instruction.
My Project
The students entering the class will feel a sense of safety and comfort to know that we are taking every measures to keep everyone safe in the classrooms. Having air purifiers will assist in keeping the air safe and clean in the classroom. The wipes will clean germs and other unnecessary particles in the classroom. Hopefully these items will put the students at ease and allow them to focus on academic activities at hand. I'm pretty sure there is some minor disposition in coming to a music classroom with assumptions of not being able to participate but also stay safe. These items along with our school and district guidelines should help calm the anxiousness everyone is feeling at this time.
