This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a wonderful food hub on our campus that is open every other week for 3 hours. Our families and students can come to shop for free food. For winter break this year I would love to fill the food hub with snacks and yummy treats for families to enjoy on their 2.5 week break. Recently in our community the only "superstore" closed in addition to the largest chain drug store, and other closest convenience store. Our families have fewer places to shop and now travel further to get groceries. It is a challenging time to access food and all families deserve easy access to necessary resources. By continuing to purchase food for our Food Hub you are helping to nourish families and my wonderful students! Thank you! You truly make a difference in my community!
