Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year I will be teaching a group of 33 fifth graders in Richmond, California.
My students are brilliant, funny, loving, and creative.
However, because they attend a Title I school with 100% free lunch in a low-income area, they do not have all of the tools that they need to be successful in the classroom.
By donating to my classroom, you will ensure that my students are able to learn and flourish both inside of the classroom and out. Thank you!
My Project
I am looking to get my students materials to set them up for the second half of the year. We need a Grade 5 Classic Level Library, and more materials like Astrobrights Paper, Post-it notes, Expo dry-erase markers, and more! These materials will ensure that we can complete our 5th grade curricula in a complete manner that addresses the needs of every learner. We are looking forward to a very exciting new science unit and a rigorous writing unit that will test their research skills. To ensure that we can accomplish all that we desire, I am setting up this Donors Choose to set my students up for success!
I would like to get them all an age-appropriate book to read for winter break!
I also want to get my students excited about their own achievements with incentive charts for the classroom. Thank you for your support!
