Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a phenomenal and motivated group of scholars, many with IEPs (Individual Education Plans), students new to our country who are learning English for the first time, scholars with various learning styles, readers, and mathematicians at various grade levels. Regardless of this, they all work extremely hard every day and love our year-round, paper-circuit engineering and cardboard construction projects. They love making geometrical models, Makey Makey STEM Kit coding integrated with art, just to name a few of the maker ed and computer science projects we'll be working on this year. Additionally, the resources requested here will allow them to complete reading and writing activities at home during our Winter Break, as well as construct fun, story dioramas with the composition notebooks, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners.
These engaging graphic novels and book sets will motivate my readers to keep reading at home during the Winter Break; they will also practice their reading and writing skills with the Gratitude Journals.
Thank you for making a huge difference in my students' lives this winter. ¡Muchas gracias!
