Help me give my students a Trophy case to store our winning Battle of the Books trophies.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Worley's classroom raised $292
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our school is located in a rural low economic area. I teach in a Title I school where all of our students receive free breakfast and free or reduced rate lunch. There are 500 students in grades K-5 and 300 students in grades 6-8.
Students at our school strive to do their very best!
They love to visit the media center weekly to checkout books and see what new books are available! The students visit the library weekly as part of their encore specials.
My Project
We have a team of 12 members on our WTS Battle of the Books team. These students read 27 books throughout the school year. They compete against other schools within the county. They have to answer questions about the books that they have read.
This past year we came in 3rd place within our county.
We do not have a place to store our trophies and memorable team pictures. This trophy case would give the members and other students a way to enjoy looking at the trophies. It would also help encourage other students that might be interested in joining the team!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
