This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like as a young student participating in a physical education class that gave you many opportunities with a variety of equipment? Well, my students do not have a variety of P.E. materials, which makes having a quality program very challenging.

I teach in a high need school district in New York that is not financially able to provide the funding necessary to give my students the kind of physical education program they need.

My students are eager and willing to participate in a variety of sports, but unfortunately I need help to make this possible.

My Project

The volleyball trainers ,net and basketballs will give me the chance to teach my students volleyball and basketball skills that will carry with them to middle school, high school and the rest of their lifetimes. This equipment will help me give these students the foundation of acquiring sport skills that they will use for a lifetime of healthy recreation.

Your donation will enable my students to get an early head start in acquiring skills that will be necessary for success in secondary physical education classes and lifetime recreation.

You will be helping these students get fit, learn about sportsmanship, teamwork, increase self-esteem, better their body image, succeed in school, socialize and of course have a positive attitude about physical activity. Your help will touch thousands of students HEARTS, minds, and souls!
