My Project
I have seven years of social work service experience under my belt (and a pandemic survival badge to prove it!). I'm on a mission to breathe life back into our sessions and make the 2024-2025 school year the most awesome one yet!
With your help, we'll be stocking up on sensory bins filled with treasures waiting to be discovered, creating calming spaces where students can unwind and recharge, and diving into social skill activities that'll have them laughing, learning, and connecting like never before.
But how will these specific items make a difference? Let me break it down for you:
Sensory bins: These magical treasure troves will stimulate our students' senses, sparking curiosity, creativity, and imagination. Whether they're digging for buried treasure or exploring different textures, sensory bins will turn every virtual session into a sensory adventure!
Calming spaces: In a world that can feel overwhelming at times, having a calming space to retreat to is like finding an oasis in the desert. By providing students with a dedicated space to relax and recharge, we'll empower them to manage their emotions and focus on learning.
Social skill activities: Learning doesn't happen in isolation—it happens through connection and collaboration. With fun and engaging social skill activities, we'll foster a sense of belonging and community, helping our students build friendships that will last a lifetime.
