My Project

Thank you for considering funding this request. Our Kindergarten classroom has no windows. This alone is a contributing factor to the environment in the classroom. Sometimes it feels like an operating room, considering the fluorescent ceiling lights are the only source of light in our windowless room. These lights are way too bright and the classroom space feels at times overwhelming and not inviting to our students.

I would like to offer a more candid lighting system for my students, which would include the use of fluorescent light fabric covers, and patio-style string lights to cover the entire classroom.

I have seen peers that used these resources and the outcome is just lovely and so warm and inviting. This would greatly benefit their focus during reading and independent activities.

I would like for my students to be able to learn in the same inviting environment.
