My students need 7 Chromebooks to level the playing field with peers who have economic advantages in more affluent areas that will allow them to be 21st century learners.

My Students

Although they come from all different backgrounds and may not be afforded the same economic advantages that other students in the county have, they all share the same dream, which is to succeed! Working at a differentiated accountability Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch, one would not know any better the harsh realities many of our students face when they leave school. The reason why they would not know this is because the school culture is one of growth, nurturing, and support. Our students see beyond the barriers life has shown them and realize any dream worth chasing is possible.

My Project

Students will use Chromebooks to watch interactive learning videos through a Google Classroom where they will also create their own learning paths to upload what they have learned in one-take videos, along with using their own data tracking analysis to monitor their progress of standards mastery. Through inclusion of hands-on technology, students can incorporate all elements of STEM. Having access to a multimedia library of content in the classroom, the students will be familiar with cross-curricular content while preparing themselves for online state assessments. Students will be afforded opportunities to use technology that they would not normally have access to.
